Is breakfast included at the hotel?

Yes. The price of every room includes a home-made breakfast prepared with local ingredients from the Karst and Brkini regions.

Are children and pets allowed at the hotel?

Hotel Josefina is adults-only (16+). Children and pets are not allowed, so we can preserve a quiet and private atmosphere for every guest.

Do you have free parking?

Yes. Hotel guests have access to free parking next to the house.

When is check-in and check-out?

Check-in is available from 15:00, check-out by 11:00 in the morning. Times can be adjusted by arrangement when occupancy allows.

Where is the hotel located and how far is the sea?

Hotel Josefina is in Rodik, on the edge of the Karst and Brkini. Koper and the Slovenian coast are about 25 minutes by car, the UNESCO Škocjan Caves 10 minutes, Trieste 35 minutes.

Do you offer electric bike rental?

Yes. Electric bikes can be rented directly at the hotel — an ideal way to explore the Beka landscape park, Brkini and the Karst.

Four generations of hospitality

Our family has practised hospitality in Rodik since 1903. What lives today as Josefina grew out of decades of connection — between the house and its people, the guest and the table, the place and the feeling that true hospitality is never just a service. It is always a relationship.

Josefina was born as a tribute to that heritage and as its contemporary continuation. In the restored house we created six unique rooms for adult guests who value calm, intimacy, refined materiality and the character of a space.

In building Josefina we followed the same conviction that guides us at Gostilna Mahorčič: that real quality is inseparable from place. Our world is built on respect for the local environment, natural materials, craft, and the seasons.
