RVNDICTES
In the surroundings of the village you can visit the historical remains of the Ajdovščina Roman hillfort, as well as other cultural landmarks: the Church of the Holy Trinity, plague memorials, the village well, water troughs and stone portals.
From the village, walking, forest and cycling trails lead towards Slope and Tublje, Artviže, Kačiče, Dane and Brkini — as well as to the nearby Škocjan Caves (UNESCO).

Our cave
Within the Škocjan Caves, one cave has carried our ancestor's name since 1819 — Mahorčičeva jama, named after Jožef Mahorčič, the mayor of Škocjan. It has worn the name for more than two centuries.
Ajdovščina above Rodik
A prehistoric and late-antique site (believed to be the centre of the Rundictes) with settlement traces from the 1st and 2nd century AD. One of the best-preserved ancient hilltop fortifications in Slovenia.
The path leads from Rodik past the upper inn towards Artviže; below the hilltop we turn right, and once we reach the top of Čuk hill, the path takes us to the prehistoric ramparts of the "Ajdovsko" settlement.
